ABSTRACT
The nervous system is the controller of all the basic functions of the
body, it regulates and coordinates all the activities of the body as well
as commands all the body movements in coordination with the skeletal
system of the human body. It transmits and receives signals from the
brain to the target site and the target site to the brain with the help of
sensory and motor nerves. In the crucial time of COVID-19 it was
found that many of the organs and organ system of human body were
severely damaged due to the vulnerability of the virus in the
surrounding environment which further affected the nervous system
and badly injured due to the progression of this virus in the body parts
along with damaged the nerve cells of human brain. The virus affected
and produced many neurological as well as psychological disorders.
Neurological disorders like epilepsy, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson and some other
psychological disorders like depression, schizophrenia, dementia, mood, and anxiety
disorders. The presented article reviewed the nervous system functioning along with the role
of neurons and how the neurotransmitters work in carrying signals from one nerve cell in
another nerve cell. Further continuing we have described about the disorders of nervous
system as how they have affected the brain cells in neurological as well psychological in
contrast to COVID-19 pandemic situation as how different health care performed their duties
in reducing the chances of this disorder and the treatment or the diagnosis in curing these
neurological disorders.
