ABSTRACT
Several researchers said that the creation of liquisolid tablets is one of the most effective ways to promote drug dissolving among the various methods for resolving the solubility issue. 11-18 From a historical perspective, "Powdered Solutions," which required making a true solution of the drug in a high boiling point, water-miscible solvent and spreading it out over a large surface of an inert carrier like microcrystalline cellulose, gave way to "Liquisolid Compacts." The drug was present in these systems as a molecular dispersion state of subdivision. These systems also consisted of dry-looking, free-flowing granules that did not adhere. Liquid compacts are powdered versions of liquid pharmaceuticals that flow well and may be compressed. The phrase "liquisolid medication" refers to drugs that are both oily liquids and solutions or suspensions of solid, water-insoluble medications that are transported in appropriate nonvolatile solvent systems. By simply blending a liquid medication with a few powder excipients known as the carrier and coating materials, a liquid medication can be turned into a dry-looking, non-adherent, free-flowing, and compressible powder using this innovative formulation approach. In this study we using liquisolid technique to improve the solubility rate of Tolbutamide.
