EXTRACTION AND ISOLATION OF PIPERINE FROM BLACK PEPPER WITH MARKET STRATEGY

ABSTRACT
Piper nigrum is belong to the family (Piperaceae) is a valuable
medicinal plant and obtained from the unripe fruit of black pepper.
Piper nigrum is commonly known as Kali Mirch in Urdu and Hindi.
Potassium hydroxide, ethanol, Soxhlet apparatus used for extraction of
black pepper. U-V visible spectroscopy, this method is accurate,
precise and reliable to be used for the detection and evaluation of
piperine. Piperine, a major alkaloid, is the major bio-active component
of pepper which imparts pungency and biting taste to it. Piperine
belongs (Piperinoyl - piperidine). Dilution formation leads to detection
of piperine easy. We found the purest form of piperine was present.
The wavelength of piperine was true to standard value. Market values
of black pepper have settled down by handling the ups and downs in market of pepper. These
fluctuations are organized by fair tradeorganization (FTO) for the welfare of farmers.
