ABSTRACT
The word ‘Phyto’ means ‘a plant’ where as the word ‘some’ means ‘cell like’. The preparation of phytosomes is carried out in an unconventional way compare to traditional herbal extract, it exhibits better absorption, producing better bioavailability. In comparison to allopathy, herbal medicine offers more sustained benefits and less severe side effects. To prevent toxicity, it was made with the better best concentration possible. Polyphenolic substances known as phytosomes are created by attaching various compounds of plant extract to phosphatidylcholine. Because phytosomes are nanoparticles rather than microparticles like liposomes they have better bioavailability, absorption of traditional herbal extracts begins. The overview of phytosomes and its features are described in the current review. (METHOD OF PREPARATION, BIOAVAILABILITY, COMMERICAL PHARMACEUTICS AND PHYTOSOMES PATENT TECHNOLOGY.)
