TREATMENT OF ACUTE VERTEBROJUGULAR ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA WITH STENT

ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study is to report the treatment of an acute traumatic vertebrojugular fistula with an endovascular procedure. Presence of a perforating and cutting injury in zone 2 of the cervical region, with the presence of vascular thrill and a slight hematoma. An angiotomography was performed which revealed a vertebrojugular arteriovenous fistula and an angioplasty of the right vertebral artery with covered stent was performed - without intercurrences or motor deficit and occurred uneventfully.
