ABSTRACT
Simarouba glauca is floral treat plant, Evergreen. Widely seen in Florida, South Africa, US. In the present study we have tried to find out anthelmintic activity of Simarouba glauca using petroleum ether, Ethanol, ethyl acetate and water extract Anthelmintic activity was appraised by applying the concentration of plant extract and recording the time of paralysis and death. The paralysis and death of the worms pheretima posthuma is compared with standard drug of Albendazole. The standard drug Albendazole at 15mg/ml shown the activity for time of paralysis and death (38.28 min and 46.21 min respectively). Ethanolic extract of Simarouba glauca showed 22.33min and 31.56min.Further studies of Simarouba glauca are suggested to evaluate possible mechanism of action and active compounds responsible for the activity.
