MANAGEMENT OF SIDHMA KUSHTA (PITYRIASIS VERSICOLOR): A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Background of study:- Skin disease are always a primary concern to the society. In Ayurveda, management of Kushta Roga includes Shodhana and Shamana Chikitsa incorporated with proper Bahi-parimarjana Chikitsa. Sidhma Kushta is one among eighteen Kushta Roga's is a major concerned to medical field due to its symptoms and recurrences rate. Methodology:- A 22 years old female patient came to skin OPD at GAC, Nagpur having symptoms such as hyper pigmented patches over back region with profused sweating and itching since 30 days. Here, stress and Viruddha Ahara are main causes compared to Sidhma Kushta and treated according to basic principles of Sidhma Kushta. Aim:- To study the management of Sidhma Kushta.
Objective's:- 1. To study the causative factors of Sidhma Kushta. 2. To study the management of Sidhma Kushta. 3. To restrict recurrences of Sidhma Kushta. Result:- Patient got 85-90% result within 4-5 months. Conclusion:-Patient treated with Shamana Aushadis where hyper pigmented patches turned to pinkish first then turned into skin coloured tone finally.
