ABSTRACT
The ability to reproduce and have children after reaching sexual maturity is known as fertility. Infertility is a disease of a male or female reproductive system defined by the failure to achieve a pregnancy after at least 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. Infertility in men is typically brought on by issues with the ejection of semen, a lack of sperm or low sperm counts, or irregular sperm shape (morphology) and motility (motion). Oligozoospermia is the cause of infertility in males in close to 35% of cases. In Ayurved Oligozoospermia can be correlate with Ksheenshukra, i.e., when shukra is less than its normal amount. Although there is currently no effective treatment for this illness, Ayurvedic remedies frequently show a noticeable improvement insemen characteristics. We are presenting here a subject, aged 27 years, whose initial sperm count was found to be 18 million/mL. The subject was treated with Vajikaran Aushadha like Ashwagandha churna, Shatavri churna, Yashtimadhu churna, Shweta musli, and Pushpadhanwa ras which helped in improving sperm count. Mild Virechak- Avipattikar churna was also given. The medicine was given for about 20 days. After that period, when semen analysis was repeated, the total sperm count was found to be 56 million/mL. Here is a prescription on how an Oligozoospermia case can be properly managed with Ayurveda.
