ABSTRACT

Kalanchoe pinnata is commonly known as “Air plant”. The main objective of the advance Information for the drug discovery research on the Divine herb “Kalanchoe pinnata”, which contains the chemical constituents of active compounds includes alkaloid, triterpenes, glycosides, flavonoids, steroids, bufadienolides, lipids, and organic acids. The pharmacological studies are CNS depressant, analgesic, Anti-microbial, Anti- Inflammatory, Anti-allergic, Anti- anaphylatic, Anti-leshmanial, Anti-Tumour, Anti-ulcerous, Anti-fungal, Anti-bacterial, Anti-Histamine, Anti-viral, Gastro protective, Immunosuppressant, Anti-Insecticidal, Anti-Insecticidal, Anti-oxidant, Anti-Diabetic, Muscle relaxant and sedative.
