ROLE OF MANAS BHAVAS AND AGNI IN ETIOPATHOGENESIS OF GRAHANI ROGA W.S.R. TO IBS: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT
Introduction: In present era of pandemic, physical as well as mental health of people is being affected. People are advised to stay calm during such crisis. So, does staying calm help in prevention of diseases. According to Ayurveda, different manas bhavas like krodha, chinta etc. act as nidana of many diseases. Even modern science accepts role of psychological factors in development of many diseases. It indicates significant relation between manas bhavas and Vyadhi Uttapati. Different manas bhavas affect agni which in turn causes
manifestation of many diseases. Grahani is known as seat of agni. Hence any disturbance in agni can lead to manifestation of grahani roga. It is one of prevalent problems present in our surrounding. Therefore, understanding role of manas bhavas and agni in etiology of grahani roga can help in prevention as well as treatment of this disease. Material and Method: In present study various data related to were collected from classical text, modern literature, journals, research papers, published seminars etc. Discussion: In present study, various manas bhavas which lead to development of Grahani Roga and also there effect on agni is discussed in detail. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is significant role of Manas Bhavas and agni in etiopathogenesis of Grahani Roga. So along with use of paachan aushadhi, regulation of manas bhavas by following concept of Achara Rasayana, Dharniya vega, Satvajaya chikitsa etc shows significant effect on Grahani Roga.
