ABSTRACT
Globally, there are significant increase in the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease (AD). AD is a disease with multifactorial etiology. Neuroinflammation, amyloid beta, tau protein, apoptosis and mitochondrial dysfuctioning are the major pathophysiology involved in the prevalence of disease. Clinical studies have shown that healthy lifestyles and natural multitarget and disease-modifying medicines can prevent AD or lessen its symptoms in those who have already been diagnosed with the illness. Early preventative treatments might cut the
number of instances of AD by more than 40%, according to data from markers. Exercise, which has been found to stimulate neurogenesis, mental stimulation, intellectual and social activities, and diet are some examples of protective measures. Relevant factors include the Mediterranean diet, pre probiotics, and nutraceuticals that include bioactive compounds with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant characteristics. Nutraceutical is a category of substance that can be useful for declining the cognition. Alzheimer's disease therapy with nutraceuticals may be on the rise.
Keywords: Alzheimer's disease, neurodegenerative, amyloid beta, antioxidant, Mediterranean diet, pre probiotics, and nutraceuticals.
