ABSTRACT
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a significant public health issue globally, affecting millions of people and posing a considerable burden on healthcare systems. This study aims to investigate the demographic, anthropometric measurements, and plasma protein polymorphisms of CKD patients and controls in Uddanam region of Andhra Pradesh, India, to determine the effects of CKD. The results revealed a higher prevalence of CKD among specific age groups and occupations, indicating potential age-related and occupational risk factors. All anthropometric parameters except hip circumference are found to have statistical significance (p < 0.05) among patients and controls. Significant difference in the proportion of HP 2-1 and HP 2-2 as well as GC 1-1 and GC 2-1 phenotypes was also observed.
