INFERTILITY: AYURVEDIC DIET AND DIETETICS: AN OVERVIEW

ABSTRACT
Infertility is the failure to achieve a clinical pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. In present era junk food, life style, dietetic habit, environmental factors contribute in lowering the fertility rate in female also in male. According to ayurvedic science, Ahar is said to be Mahaushadha as per Kashyapacharya and it plays vital role in the management of infertility. Dietary management, rasayan, vajikaran chikitsa involves strict compliance. Following nourishing diet, dietetics will reward with most desirable blessings. The present article has collected information
from classical ayurveda samhita, research paper, original articles and prepared the review. The positive change brought in diet and healthy lifestyle may aid in assisting the infertility in both male and female.
