ABSTRACT
Background: This study shows dengue-affected children Dengue fever, is a vector-borne viral infection, caused by a flavivirus from the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito. In most cases of dengue, it is not found as soon because it has common symptoms of fever, Abdominal pain later it is progressed if left untreated. Fluid plays a crucial role in the management of dengue fever it prevents the progression of the disease and decreases the risk of death. Objectives: To evaluate the symptoms of the disease and assessment of hematological parameters and also Analysis of ingested fluids and their benefits in the treatment of the
disease and the importance of platelet transfusion. Method: A Retrospective observational study was conducted in the Santhiram college & general hospital from the year to 2020 to2021April in the Paediatrics department. Children with dengue enrolled in the study, and haematological parameters are compared before and after treatment by analysis of fluid management. Results: In our study, we observed all the children with dengue fever are mostly managed with fluids only a few are prone to platelet transfusion. After fluid management children decreased their hospitalization and prevents the progression of the disease. Almost all children’s haematological parameters reached normal. Platelet transfusion helps them from Dengue hemorrhagic fever and Dengue shock syndrome. Conclusion: In our study children affected with dengue are admitted in the hospital. In dengue virus affected children there is abnormal changes in haematological parameters. Fluid management plays key role in the management of dengue and prevent in progression of the disease.
