PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING OF ATHIMADHURA KULIGAI IN THE MANAGEMENT OF MAANTHA SANNI IN CHILDREN

ABSTRACT
Siddha system of medicine practice is considered as divine art as it lays it’s emphasis on over soul in addition to that of external body. This concept of Thirumoolar is much same with the WHO’s declaration that “Health is a state of complete physical, mental, social well being and not merely an absence of disease”. In paediatric age group Maantha sanni is one of the developmental disorder. The aim of the study was to evaluate the phytochemical analysis of the trial medicine Athimadhurakuligai taken from Sarabenthira vaithiya muraigal (sanni roga sikichai) in the treatment of Maantha sanni (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and its biochemical properties are analysed with standard procedures of biochemical test to prove the effectiveness of the herb used in the medicine for combined effect. This analysis helps to explore the new properties of medicine in their usage in clinical study. It is concluded the presence of certain phytochemical justify the better use of the medicine Athimadhurakuligai for Maantha Sanni.
