CLINICAL MANAGEMENT OF UDARA ROGA-A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT

This is a disease characterize by symptoms such as enlargement of abdomen associated with loss of appetite, emaciation and oedema over the legs there is Agni Mandya. It is one among the Mahagada. There are 8 types of Udara Roga. Doshaja - Vataja, Pittaja, Kaphaja, Sannipatika, Plihodara, Chidrodara, Baddha Gudodara, Jalodara, Yakrit Udara. The various types of Udara Roga resemble symptoms comparable to peritonitis. All types of Udara turn into Jalodara in later stages. Virechana, Niruha Basti, Anuvasana Basti, intake of milk are the basic treatment.
