ABSTRACT
Nano technology is the wisdom of manipulating tittles and motes in the nanoscale- 80,000 times lower than the range of a mortal hair. The world request for products that contain nanomaterials is anticipated to reach$2.6 trillion by 2015. The use of nanotechnology has stretched across colorful aqueducts of wisdom, from electronics to drug and has now set up operations in the field of cosmetics by taking the name of nanocosmetics. This wide infl uence of nanotechnology in the ornamental diligence is due to the enhanced parcels attained by the patches at the nano position including color, translucency, solubility
etc. The different types of nanomaterials employed in cosmetics include nanosomes, liposomes, fullerenes, solid lipid nanoparticles etc. lately, enterprises over the safety of similar nanocosmetics are raised and have forced the ornamental diligence to limit the use of nanotechnology in cosmetics and for administering laws to suffer a full- fledged safety assessment before they enter into the request. In this review, emphasis is made on the types of nanomaterials used in cosmetics by the colorful ornamental brands, the implicit pitfalls caused by them both to mortal life and also to the terrain and what all regulations have been accepted or can be taken to overcome them.
Keywords: Dendrimers, health pitfalls, hydrogel, nanocosmeceuticals, safety controls.
