NOVEL DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT
The novel drug delivery system refers to formulations, technologies and system that deliver pharmaceutical compounds into the body on demand to safety achieve their desired therapeutic effects. Novel drug delivery system is a method of delivery that differs from traditional drug delivery system. In any event, novel drug delivery systems often focus on the quantity and duration of drug presence. Although it may also incorporate medical devices or drug device combination products, novel drug delivery is frequently associated with a medicine's chemical formulation. The goal of a novel drug delivery system is to specifically
target a drug to a targeted tissue. It is a highly developed drug delivery system that increases drug potency, controls drug release to provide a sustained therapeutic impact, and provides higher safety. NDDS combines new dose forms that are superior to traditional dosage forms with advanced methodology. An existing medicinal molecule can be given new life in the form of NDDS. The NDDS is involved in systems like pharmaceutical and medical device combinations. The creation of herbal new drug delivery systems is now possible due to technological advancements like NDDS. This article explains how an existing medicine’s molecules can change from a traditional form to a unique drug delivery system, greatly improving the drug’s performance in terms of patient compliance, safety and efficacy.
