REVIEW: BILAYER TABLET IS A NEW APPROACH

ABSTRACT
In modern era bi-layer tablet is for successful development of immediate and modified drug delivery system for various diseases and disorders. Bi-layer tablets have been developed to achieve modified release of drug. Bilayer tablet is new period for the successful development of Controlled medicine Delivery System( CDDS) along with colorful features to produce a way of successful medicine delivery system. Over the once 30 times as the expenditure and complications involved in selling new medicine realities have enhanced, with attendant recognition of the remedial advantages of controlled medicine delivery, lesser attention has been concentrated on development of sustained or controlled release medicine delivery
systems. Bi-layer tablets has been developed to achieve controlled delivery of different medicines withpre-defined release biographies. Bi-layer tablet is applicable for chronological release of two medicines in combination and also for sustained release of tablet in which one subcaste is for immediate release as lading cure and alternate subcaste is conservation cure. Bilayer tablets can be a primary option to avoid chemical incompatibilities between API by physical separation, and to enable the development of different medicine release biographies using DUREDAStechnology.Use ofbi-layer tablets is a veritably different aspect foranti-hypertensive, diabetic,anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicines where combination remedy is frequently used. Several pharmaceutical companies are presently developingbi-layer tablets, for a variety of reasons patent extension, remedial, marketing to name a many. This review composition provides an preface tobi-layer tablet technology, challenges inbi-layer tablet manufacturing, colorful tablet presses used, quality and GMP conditions for their product colorful ways used forbi-layer tableting and recent developments in the field ofbi-layer technology.
