A REVIEW ON DRUGS USE IN TREATMENT OF PARKINSON’S DISEASE

ABSTRACT
Parkinson‘s disease is type of neurodegenerative disorder, which is more common in western countries. In this disease the neurotransmitters acetylcholine and dopamine level are imbalanced. Many drugs are available for treatment of parkinsons, so it has become an important point for research. Many enzyme inhibitors and drugs are acting on cellular level which are present in market which gives anti parkinson‘s activity but they all have major or minor side effects on the body so there is an urgent need of better option which is more safe, less side effect, it has low dose and less toxic in nature. In this study
we focus on basis of parkinson‘s, its pathogenesis and drugs use for treatment of parkinson‘s. Also mention some newer appoved drugs and their mechanism and how they act on parkinson‘s disease.
