ABSTRACT
The newly developed drug delivery system plays an important role in the pharmaceutical industry. Drug delivery practices have improved over the past few decades, and there have even been many advanced innovations recently. The new Medication Delivery System has had a tremendous impact on today’s medical practice. A switch from traditional or conventional drug delivery to a new drug delivery system can permanently alter a drug’s bioavailability, safety, and efficacy, and
can also improve patient compliance. Today, the line of controlled drug delivery systems has greatly influenced drug dosage forms because it offers a wide range of products. Among all the controlled release products, microspheres are one of them because of its controlled release and sustained release properties. This article focuses on the different types of microspheres and their basic preparation methods and techniques for evaluating the efficacy of, with a primary focus on drug microspheres administered through various systemic routes such as oral and transdermal., Parenteral et al found that -labeled radioactive microspheres have more medicinal value for the treatment of -labeled isotope-labeled diseases. Additionally, fluorescent microspheres can be used in flow cytometry membrane techniques, cell biology, immunosorbent assays coupled with fluorescence. Yttrium-90 isotope can be used for the primary treatment of carcinogenic diseases, and can also be used for the pre-transplant management of hepatocellular carcinoma with good results.
