ABSTRACT
In present era heavy metal contamination of water is a major problem in our country because rivers receive a huge amount of untreated industrial effluents from different industries. Heavy metals are found in natural resources in high doses these causes toxicity in human body. They enter in our bodies mainly from lower trophic level in the food chain through a process called bioaccumulation This study aim of this study to know the concentrations of heavy metals like As, Pb, Cd, Cr and Cu and their bioaccumulation status in different trophic levels and also to evaluate the potential human health risk for local consumers.
