ABSTRACT
Now-a-days herbal lipsticks and eyeliner are gaining popularity because natural cosmetics are safe to use and easy to handle by women. Synthetic colouring agents may cause allergic reactions and were found to be carcinogenic in nature. Aim of our study was to formulate and evaluate herbal lipstick and eyeliner using natural edible colouring matter from Clitoria ternatea flower extract. Along with different natural ingredients such as bees wax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, olive oil, lemon juice, Vanilla essence, strawberry essence, aloe vera gel and vitamin E capsule were used to formulate herbal lipstick. Prepared herbal lipstick were evaluated for different evaluation test such as colour, pH, melting point, microbial growth, skin irritation test, aging and perfume stability. Results showed that, different evaluation
parameters of prepared herbal lipstick and eyeliner.
