ABSTRACT
Babchi is an imp medicinal plant. Babchi is also known as Psoralea corylifolia is. A well known ayurveda modern herb remedy grown in india and southern area. North Srilanka and other countries are major Sources of these medicines Babchi has a variety of therapeutic properties including analgesic, anti-inflammatory and a well known activity for treating or caring skin disorders such of psoriasis's leucoderma and eczema Psoriasis is an inflammatory cord. related to difficult bothersome layered skin and determining skin lesions an immune system illness shown up on the skin The resistant framework assumes a vital part in psoriasis corylifolia (Babchi oil) was viewd as manufactured medications utilized in the treatment of psoriasis babchi
oil is obtained from seeds of plant of psoralea corylifolia has a place with family Fabaceae. Several studies were conducted to validate the therapeutic potentials of the plant and it was observed that besides the aforesaid pharmacological actions, the plant extracts also possesses antibacterial, antitumor, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antifungal and immunomodulatory activity. Babchi seeds contain an essential oils (0.05%), a nonvolatile trepenoid oil, a dark brown resin (8.6%), a pigment (hydroxyflavone), a monotrepnoid phenol (bakuchiol), a brown fixed oil (10%), raffinose, coumarin compounds, albumin, sugar, ash 7.5% and a trace of manganese, Psoralen and isopsoralen are therapeutically active constituents.
