PHARMACEUTICAL STUDY OF SUKUMAR GHRIT WITH MURCHHANA AND WITHOUT MURCHHANA PROCESS

ABSTRACT
The Aushadha Kalpana is prepared by different processing techniques applied to the crude drugs. The processing results into transformation of good pharmacological action to that of a substance usually performing processing techniques are by Shodhan, Bhavna, Marana etc. known as different samskars. Sukumar ghrit is a ayurvedic product made up of cow‟s ghee and a few medicinal herbs. The combination is able to heal a variety of diseases occurring in human stomach. This wonder medicine is made up of many natural herbs like Punarnava, Bilva, Brihati, Agnimantha, Kantakari, Gokshura, Ashwagandha, Darbhamoola (erianthus arundinaceum), Kushamoola and kashamoola, Shara moola and ikshumoola, Guda (jaggery), Ghee (clarified butter), Milk, Eranda taila (Castor oil) and, Krishna (long pepper fruit).
