ABSTRACT
Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that leads to the destruction of the supporting tissues of the teeth. The ultimate goal of periodontal therapy is to regenerate lost periodontal tissues, including bone, cementum, and periodontal ligament. Platelet concentrates are one of the most promising regenerative therapies in periodontics. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), and advanced platelet-rich fibrin (A-PRF) are some of the platelet concentrates used in periodontal regeneration. These concentrates contain a high concentration of growth factors and cytokines that enhance wound healing, angiogenesis, and tissue regeneration.[1]
