Abstract
CHANGES IN OPTIC DISC NERVE FIBER LAYER THICKNESS ON OCT IN RELATION TO OPTIC DISC SWELLING CAUSES
Sura Habashneh*
ABSTRACT
This study investigated the changes in optic disc nerve fiber layer thickness on optical coherence tomography (OCT) in relation to disc edema or optic disc swelling causes. Based on reviewed research findings, OCT estimations are affected by optic nerve edema and show essentially more prominent thickness in patients than in controls. Tempe et al. (2005), Bellusci et al. (2006), Bassi & Mohana (2014) and Hedge and Karam (2005) found that optic disc swelling influences
optic disc nerve fiber layer thickness under optical coherence tomography analysis. Additionally, papilledema and vein occlusion were found to be the main causes of optic disc swelling. Changes in Optic Disc Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness on OCT in relation to Optic Disc Swelling Causes.
