AWARENESS AND KNOWELEDGE ABOUT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AMONG HEALTHCARE WORKERS.

ABSTRACT Background: Digital transformations, technical developments leading to Artificial intelligence are game changers of 21st century. AI imitates cognitive processes of human intelligence by using machines and software-type algorithms to manage complex tasks. Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted comprising 100 Medical students based on Random sampling technique. The results were tabulated and analyzed using windows version SPSS 20. Results: Upon evaluation, it was found that 75% of the participants were aware of general knowledge of artificial intelligence. 60% and 55% were aware of its use in medical field and Radiology. 40% have used digital tools related to AI.85% believed AI to be the future of medicine however, 60% and 58% of the participants believed in improvement in diagnosis and treatment planning because of AI.55% of the participants considered AI to be error free. Conclusion: Moderate knowledge and awareness about AI was evaluated which can and need to be improved. Keywords: Artificial intelligence(AI), Cognitive, Radiology.
