ABSTRACT
Analytical determination of minocycline (MNC) and Molybdenum in pharmaceutical formulation is carried and based on a colour reaction between the two. Molybdenum forms green colured complex with MNC in a buffer of pH-5. This method can be conveniently used for the determination of Molybdenum and MNC, in the ranges of molybdenum 0.96 to 7.64 ug/ml and MNC in the range of 0.004 to 0.040 mg/ml. The method is successfully applied for the determination of MNC and molybdenum in pharmaceutical formulation. Effect of various parameters. pH, metal ion concentration, drug concentration of solvents is studied. The optimum condition are estabilished for the determination of molybdenum and the drug.
