FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF POLYHERBAL FACE PACK

ABSTRACT

The main objective of the work is to formulate and evaluate a polyherbal face pack for cosmetic purpose from naturally available ingredients. The natural herbal ingredients such as multani mitti, neem, rose petals, sandalwood, lemon peel powder, methi were purchased from local market in the form of dried powder. All powdered natural ingredients were sieved using # 100 mesh. Weigh accurately and mixed geometrically for uniform formulation and then evaluated for parameters including organoleptic, physical, physicochemical, irritancy, phytochemical evaluation. The main purpose of this polyherbal face pack are to remove the dark circles, pimples, scars, through the increase blood circulation and maintain it and the rejuvenates the skin and remove dirt particles from skin pores. Among all formulation, F2 was found to be good in physical parameters, free from skin irritation and maintained its consistency even after stability storage conditions and also having microbiological stability.
