AN INTERVENTIONAL STUDY OF VYAYAMA AS PREVENTION AND CURATIVE MEASURE FOR PRAMEHA IN CONTEXT OF BOTH AYURVEDIC AND CONTEMPORARY VIEW

ABSTRACT
Ayurveda is the most ancient and holy science of life. It includes all the factors which are essential to make person not only healthy but also happy and disease free. The main aim of Ayurveda is to maintain health and cure of disease. To fulfil the aim of healthy life, Ayurvedic classics, provides many important concepts. The modern world is currently facing an epidemic of lifestyle related diseases like diabetes, heart disease, obesity etc. due to having a sedentary life style or less physical activity. In this context, the prevalence rate of diabetes estimates in 2019 showed that 77 million individuals had diabetes in India, which is expected to rise to over 134 million by 2045. In order to get rid of all this, ayurveda has explained a wonderful different
regimen like dinacharya (daily regime), ratricharya (night regime) and ritucharya (seasonal routine). Vyayama (dincharya regimen) plays an important role in the maintenence of health and prevention of disease. It helps in regulating mechanism of all systems of human body. Diabetes is also a metabolic disease which results due to agnimandhya, less physical activity etc. Therefore, this review article attempts to explain the concept of vyayama in detail and its effect to prevent and cure prameha to a very large extent.
