ABSTRACT
Hydrogels are cross-connected 3D (three-dimensional) systems of hydrophilic polymers (i.e., water soluble polymers) with large pore size and water content to improve medicine discharge for a few days. Nanoparticles have been employed in a variety of industries for decades, and their uses are expanding. Silver nanoparticles, out of all the nanoparticles, exhibit unique physio-chemical properties and are a widely utilised commercial nanomaterial. When silver nanoparticles are put into hydrogels, they show promising role in the disciplines of catalysis, biomedicine, and biotechnology. Because of the controlled size and shape of AgNPs generated throughout the hydrogel network, the creation of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in hydrogels is thought to be more appealing. Silver nanoparticle-loaded hydrogels have a wide
range of applications, including wound healing, antibacterial properties, cancer treatment, and ocular applications, among others. The patent system contributes significantly to both economic growth and improved quality of life. A patent is a government-granted exclusive right that prevents others from creating, using, or selling an invention for a set period of time, thus encouraging innovation.
