Abstract

CHEMICAL AND NUTRITIVE ANALYSIS IN STEM OF WITHANIA SOMNIFERA AND RICINUS COMMUNIS LINN DESERT PLANT

ABSTRACT

The nutrient analysis was done by A.O.A.C.(1995) procedure for the estimation of moisture content, total Ash, crude fibre, ether extract, etc. Crude fibre is higher in stem of Ricinus communis then Withania somnifera stem, percentage of calcium found higher in stem of Withania somnifera, these chemical Analysis of this plant species thus indicates that this are rich in nutrient.
