REVIEW ON NOVEL ANTI TUBERCULAR PLANTS

ABSTRACT
An estimated 258 per 1 lakh people worldwide contract tuberculosis each year, which is a serious health issue. The Vedas refer to it as the "king of diseases." After HIV/AIDS, it is the second most frequent cause of infection-related death worldwide. The toxicity and negative effects of allopathic therapy are making the use of herbal medicine more and more popular. Today's patients expect speedy relief from their illnesses, yet the chemical ingredients in modern medicine can have negative side effects and toxicity, which is why Ayurveda is in such demand. Information about plants that are antitubercular is provided in this review. The 20 herbal plants included in this paper demonstrate plants that are antitubercular.
