ABSTRACT
Review manly focused on Paracetamol and Piroxicam are determined by absorption ratio and least square method. Both methods are derived from simultaneous estimation. In absorption ratio method the ratio of absorbance at any two wavelengths for a substance which obeys beer‟s law, is a constant value independent of concentration and path length. In Least square method it is standard approach in regression analysis to approximate the solution of over determine solution by minimizing the sum of square of residual made in result of each individual equation. Validation parameters are reported like Accuracy, Precision, Limit of Detection, Limit of Quantitation, Specificity, Linearity, Range, Robustness, and Ruggedness. An overview of different method for paracetamol and piroxicam are presented.
Keywords: Paracetamol, piroxicam, absorption ratio method, lest square method, Beer?s law, simultaneous spectroscopy.
