FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL HAND WASH

ABSTRACT

The aim of this project is to formulate and evaluate antimicrobial herbal handwash by using natural ingredients like tulsi, neem, aloevera for effective activity against microbial attack. The hands are primary site of infection, especially in children. Using of handwash containing chemicals may cause skin irritations, such as rashes, itching etc... As this handwash is composed of herbal ingredients like tulsi and neem which has less side effects and better cleaning activity. These ingredients are widely used in Indian household for various purposes. The prepared formulation was evaluated by various parameters such as colour, odour, pH, viscosity and stability.
