Abstract

OVARIAN MASS (CYSTS) AND RADIOLOGICALLY ASSESSMENT (MRI)

Chya Nawfal Abdullah and *Tolaz Mohammed Ameen

ABSTRACT

Ovarian cysts, which are fluid-filled sacs within the ovary, are prevalent in women of childbearing age. While most functional cysts may be handled conservatively and dissolve naturally, surgical intervention is typically necessary when an ovarian cyst presents with acute symptoms. Estimate the kinds and methods of intervention with patient symptoms and signs by studying the correlation between cyst size and BMI. From 2019 to 2021, 47 women who were treated for ovarian cysts at the hospital's obstetrics and gynaecology clinic participated in the research. It was found that 59.6% of patients were between the ages of 15 and 30, that 63.8% of patients lived in urban areas, and that 59.6% of patients were housewives. Additionally, 40.4% of patients had a body mass index (MBI) of 30 or higher, and that 59.6% of cysts were simple. Of the total number of patients surveyed (94), 20 had cysts on their left sides, and 59.6% were benign. The wide range of symptoms and locations of ovarian cysts, making them a complex medical issue, makes them a public health concern. Student Goals: As a result of participating in this learning exercise, will have a more solid foundation from which to analyse MRI's diagnostic value in distinguishing To define benign and malignant ovarian cancers, Typical MRI Characteristics of the Most Common Benign and Malignant aggressive ovarian tumours, and the function of standard combined with cutting-edge MRI staging and therapeutic approaches selecting and monitoring ovarian cancer patients Without prompt treatment, ovarian cancer has a very high mortality rate. one of several potential explanations for pelvic masses, the others being common. Examining a mass to establish its nature is one of the primary tasks of a doctor. possible malignancy requiring immediate surgical intervention. Malignancy risk factors are most accurately predicted by a set of components such as patient age, family history, Menopausal stage, signs and symptoms, and physical diagnostic tests, imaging, and blood concentration on the CA125 is a cancer biomarker.
