DIABETIC CARDIOMYOPATHY: A REVIEW ON HERBAL MEDICINE

ABSTRACT

The prevalence of type 2 diabetes has increased worldwide cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of complications in diabetic. The use of medicinal plants for diabetes mellitus treatment is an old tradition that has grown even more significant in the current day. The mechanism implicated and the impact on diabetic cardiomyopathy and function have been scrutinised within this review. The pathogenesis of diabetic cardiomyopathy is complex but now a days many therapeutic options available to treat diabetic cardiomyopathy. We study about the lot of herbal plants which are used for the treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy. The herbal plants we study like agele marmelos, artemisia, bergamot, ficus religiosa, zingiber officinale, etc. The purpose of the review article is to compile and sumrise the disease profile of diabeties, secondry complication and plant used for the treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy.
