SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF ABDOMINAL PAIN: MANAGEMENT AND TREATMENT

ABSTRACT
Abdominal pain is a condition that demands urgent attention and treatment. It may be caused by an infection, inflammation, vascular occlusion or obstruction. The patient will usually present with sudden onset of pain with associated with nausea or vomiting. Most patient with an acute abdomen appears ill. The approach to a patient with an abdominal pain should include a thorough history and physical exam. The cause of an abdominal pain may be appendicitis, perforated peptic ulcer, acute pancreatitis etc.
