ABSTRACT
Acute depression is characterized by a gloomy mood and a distaste for routine activity. Depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure, fatigue, feelings of worthlessness or inappropriate responsibility, loss of appetite and libido, sleeplessness, and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide were observed as the indication. Neurotransmitter inhibition of NA, 5-HT, and dopamine is the cause of this illness. Despite this, there is indisputable proof that a combination of biological, social, economic, cultural, and environmental elements functioned in an unfavorable way in the depressed person. The vast amount of synthetic medications used to treat depressed illnesses quickly. People have strong beliefs in ancient medical systems like Ayurveda, Siddha, and
Unani management because of the herbal treatments that may generate very little side effects in the early stages of significant obsessional with the modern medical system. Numerous articles on this topic are available, and there are sizable scientific research organizations looking into plant-based remedies for treating this illness. In addition, this article included the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of many forms of depression.
