INFLUENCE OF YOGA AND PRANAYAM IN PREGNANCY

ABSTRACT
Various changes are experienced by a woman during pregnancy. Psychiological, Physiological and hormonal changes can have a serious impact on pregnant women. Many women have a fear about pregnancy outcomes which increases stress level in women. Pregnancy conditions also affects the women daily chores and makes them difficult to cope up with their work. Yoga is an ancient mind body unifer practice. Practicing Yogasana, Pranayama and Mudra (meditation) daily maintains a potential balance between body organs and mind, which helps to keep positive attitude and strengths our body to combat various changes that a female body undergoes during pregnancy. Yoga, Pranayam and mudra (meditation) includes different physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques that helps a women to overcome and adjust to the changes that occurs during pregnancy.
