Abstract

FORMULATION, DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL EYE DROPS FOR DRY EYES SYNDROME

ABSTRACT

Eyes are crucial not solely to humans additionally to the animals. All majority of animals need eyes to hold out their daily work. Even humans technologically so advanced will be nothing without eyes. Eye drops and ophthalmic medications won’t treat the assorted conditions occurring to the human eyes but reduce the symptoms. In the current research we have focused to formulate a safe and effective herbal formulation to prevent a disorder like dry eyes syndrome. The active herbs used were liqourice and daruharidra, various good laboratory practices were practiced during the formulation and necessary tests were performed on raw herbs and the finished product to ensure a safe and efficient formulation, although the findings in this research work are subject to further studies to be performed on animals prior to consumption of humans.
