ABSTRACT

The possibilities seen through the progressive advancements in computer technologies have now definitely impacted humans to strive towards a digital system. Through digitisation, the digital data available can be put through various analytical techniques and algorithms to analyse the data with ease that help us understand, solve, discover, and draw conclusions in numerous ways. The use of computers in the health system has also been very promising but is not yet utilised to its fullest potential as the health systems still majorly follow the conventional processing methods. Therefore, providing a lot of scope for analysis, research and development using computers in the health system.[1] The aim of the project was to develop a computer application that enables data visualisation of a huge set of health data at once. The computer application is being developed using a programming language called Matlab and the data acquired is the number of cases and the number of deaths due to COVID-19 between the months of March and October of the year 2020 around the world. The application was successfully developed. The data provided is visually represented in a bar graph and line graph spread overtime on the x-axis and the number of cases and deaths due to COVID-19 on the y-axis. The application helps to specifically observe data using various filters enabling easier analysis of the data.
