AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF MANDALA KHUSHTHA (PSORIASIS) – A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
In India an assessed 0.8 % of the people are suffering from psoriasis. It is the papulo-sqauamous illness of the skin characterised by sharply defined erythemato –squamous lesions, the extract aetiology is unknown, it tends to run in families and participate by climate, streptococcal infections, psychological stress, unhygienic conditions, inappropriate diet etc. This disorder is comparable with Kustha (Mandala-a type of Kushtha) in Ayurvedic scheme of medicine. Shodhan procedures are reliable to control the disease. Here an effort made to treat female of 24 years old using Ayurvedic treatment. At the end of the treatment, Panchakarma procedure (Shodhana) along with internal medicines (Shamana) resulted in the improvement of overall symptoms.
