FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF AYURVEDIC SKIN CREAM

ABSTRACT

The objective of the current study was to create and assess an Ayurvedic skin cream that contained curcuma longa extracts (Turmeric). Comparative standardisation was applied to one marketed product and one in-house formulation. Herbal cosmetics are priceless gifts from nature and are in high demand on the global market. As a result, we attempted to create an Ayurvedic skin cream using sandalwood oil and curcuma longa extract. The extract of curcuma longa possesses antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and skin-lightening properties. Sandalwood oil provides moisturising qualities and improves skin's radiance. Thus, all of these qualities are advantageous to healthy human keratinocytes, and they also make the substance safe and stable.
