ABSTRACT
This paper compares the genomics sequence of two genome strains of bacteria Staphylococcus aureus using ACT browser. Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most commonly known microbes. This gram-positive bacterium is known to have various strains (110, to be precise), two of which were chosen for genome analysis using bioinformatics tools. In the present study, methicillin is considered as the antibiotic, and one strain of MRSA (TW20) and one of MSSA (MSSA476) was chosen for investigation. The device used for the comparative genomics of MSSA476 and TW20 is ACT (Artemis
Comparison Tool). ACT (by Sanger) is a free tool, which can read the data in various formats such as EMBL, FASTA, GFF and Genbank. We take a closer look at the synteny, deletions, insertions and so on. While, performing comparative genomics, the ACT gives the output displaying the bands which show the similar genes mainly. Using the Artemis Comparison Tool, a computational tool designed for comparative genomics. To compare genomics sequence of two genome strains of Staphylococcus aureus TW20 and MSSA476 for the similarities, dissimilarities and to visualize the genomics sequence for lengths, gaps, synteny breaks, codons, mutation, etc. Using this in bioinformatics microbial research analysis between TW20 and MSSA476 to explain why TW20 is antibiotics resistant and MSSA476 is antibiotics sensitive.
Keywords: TW20; MSSA476; Genome; Strains sequence antibiotics; ACT.
