In contemporary medicine it is mainly treated with anticonvulsant’s and its side effects are experienced, thus there is a need to develop a treatment protocol which leads to low reoccurrence rate and gives the patient relief from pain. Materials and Methods: A 73 year old male patient approached our Shalakya Opd with complaints of pain at one side of the face which is severe and shock like in nature. He was taken in for treatment after assessment. Result: subject got relief from pain and there was less
reoccurrence during the follow up. Discussion: Thus by the symptoms we can correlate it with Anantavata in Ayurvedic science, which is mainly caused by Vata dosha. Vata being the main reason for pain gets alleviated by Ushna property, which is the main component of Agnikarma.
