Abstract

SYNTHESIS AND ANTIFUNGAL ACTIVITY OF NEW A-AMINO PHOSPHONATE DERIVATIVES CONTAINING THIAZOLE MOIETY

ABSTRACT

A series of novel Î±-amino phosphonate derivatives containing thiazole moiety (4a-j) were synthesized by condensing imines (3a-j) with triethylphosphite under solvent free conditions.Their structures were confirmed by spectroscopic data(IR,HÂ¹NMR & mass ).The compounds were investigated for antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus,Penicillium chrysogenum, Fusarium moneliforme and Trichoderma virudi in comparison with griseofulvin. Compounds showed moderate or no antifungal activity against fungi.
