Ritika Verma* and Anurag Kushal
ABSTRACT
Introduction:- Prana is the energy, and Pranayama is the stretching, expanding, and controlling of the self-energizing force as it envelops the body. For the purpose of facilitating gas diffusion and movement, it may have an impact on the bronchioles and alveoli, specifically at the alveolar-capillary membrane. Furthermore, it might improve tissue oxygenation. People of all ages worldwide are impacted by the major public health issue of asthma. It is a complicated condition that seriously impairs both the physical and psychosocial health of the
affected person. The main objective of asthma treatment is to improve quality of life. Due to the traditional metrics' strong correlation with quality of life, like lung function, it becomes additional significance. Many studies have demonstrated the benefit of yogic practises including Pranayama, meditation and Asana in treating asthma. Material and Method:- For this study, total 5 articles had been collected from internet and critically analysed and compiled. Discussion & Conclusion:- All of these studies have revealed notable improvements in signs and symptoms as well as a noticeable improvement in lung capacity and function. But there is still a lot more to learn. Therefore, more research studies with a big sample size should be conducted to provide convincing proof.
