ABSTRACT
These herbs, which have been used in traditional medicines, are critical to the development of new conventional medicines, as this review shows. Tridax procumbens (Ghamra) has been a long historical usage, yet separation and assessment of each plant has not been accurately related to its pharmacological properties and following separation and evaluation it might be extremely difficult to duplicate. Various extracts were used to isolate metabolites and treat various disorders. Some of the extraction studies analysed did not do any confirmation work, and some of the findings contradicted one other. Numerous medical conditions seem to benefit from extraction techniques. Tridax seems to be an effective anti-diabetic medication when compared to the standard
of care in the past. There was no study on the concentration of distinct photochemical in various plant organs at the time of this review, and it is thus impractical to establish dosage based on conventional uses. The relationship between various plant compounds and their influence on different illness must be emphasised on future study. The extraction, the concentration and the physiological activity of such phytochemicals are also some of other subjects that have not been researched at detail yet. Discoveries in these areas will give exceptional knowledge for the preventative and/or development of new drugs that may be used by the health community. Intriguing aspects of Tridax. Procumbens remain to be discovered.
